Aspirin Gastro-resistant and Rosuvastatin Capsules are a combination product intended to support cardiovascular risk management in patients who require both antiplatelet therapy and cholesterol-lowering treatment. The formulation contains gastro-resistant aspirin, designed to resist dissolving in the stomach, and rosuvastatin, a statin medicine that helps lower cholesterol levels. Aspirin works by reducing platelet aggregation, helping prevent the formation of harmful blood clots in blood vessels. Rosuvastatin inhibits the HMG-CoA reductase enzyme in the liver, reducing cholesterol production and lowering LDL (bad) cholesterol. Depending on a patient's medical history and diagnosis, these medicines may be prescribed as part of a broader plan to reduce cardiovascular risk. Gastro-resistant aspirin may reduce direct exposure of the stomach lining to aspirin, but it does not eliminate the risk of ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding.
कैसे उपयोग करें
1. Follow your prescription: Take the medicine exactly as directed by your doctor. The correct dose depends on the specific formulation, aspirin and rosuvastatin strengths, medical history, and cardiovascular risk. 2. Check the product packaging: Confirm the active ingredients and strengths printed on the label. Combination products may vary, so do not assume that every brand contains the same quantities. 3. Take it at the recommended time: Follow your prescribed schedule. If your doctor recommends once-daily use, take it consistently at the same time each day. 4. Swallow the capsule whole: Take the capsule with water. Do not crush, chew, open, or alter it unless the product instructions or your pharmacist specifically confirm that this is appropriate. 5. Follow food instructions: Take the medicine according to the product leaflet and your doctor's advice. Gastro-resistant aspirin formulations should be handled according to their specific administration instructions. 6. Manage missed doses carefully: If you miss a dose, check the patient leaflet or contact your pharmacist. Do not take a double dose to compensate for a missed dose. 7. Check for interactions: Tell your doctor about anticoagulants, other antiplatelet medicines, ibuprofen, naproxen, supplements, and herbal products. These may increase bleeding risk or affect treatment. 8. Watch for side effects: Seek medical advice for unusual bruising, prolonged bleeding, persistent stomach discomfort, or unexplained muscle pain. Vomiting blood, black stools, or severe bleeding require urgent medical attention. 9. Attend follow-up appointments: Your doctor may monitor cholesterol levels, liver function, and possible bleeding complications to assess the safety and effectiveness of treatment. 10. Continue treatment only as prescribed: Do not stop aspirin independently, particularly when it has been prescribed after a heart attack or coronary stent placement. Consult your doctor before surgery or dental procedures.
