SILODOSIA 8D Capsules are a combination pharmaceutical formulation from Steris Healthcare, containing Silodosin 8 mg and Dutasteride 0.5 mg. Silodosin is an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor blocker that selectively relaxes the smooth muscles of the prostate and bladder neck. This helps improve urine flow and may reduce lower urinary tract symptoms associated with an enlarged prostate. Dutasteride is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor that reduces the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Lower DHT levels can gradually reduce prostate volume and help improve urinary symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The combination provides complementary effects: Silodosin helps improve urinary flow and symptoms, while Dutasteride helps address the underlying prostate enlargement over time. Take SILODOSIA 8D Capsules exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the capsule whole with water. Do not crush, chew, or open the capsule. Silodosin is generally taken with a meal, preferably at approximately the same time each day. Follow your doctor's instructions regarding the timing of your dose. Do not increase or decrease the dose or stop treatment without consulting your healthcare professional.
