Medicine information
Uses & overview
MONTASENSE F INHALER contains Mometasone Furoate and Formoterol Fumarate, a combination of an inhaled corticosteroid and a long-acting bronchodilator. Mometasone Furoate helps reduce inflammation and swelling in the airways, while Formoterol Fumarate helps relax the airway muscles and keep the airways open for easier breathing. This combination is used as a regular maintenance treatment for respiratory conditions such as asthma and COPD, according to the indication approved for the specific product. Regular use as prescribed may help improve breathing and reduce respiratory symptoms. MONTASENSE F INHALER is not intended for immediate relief of a sudden asthma attack or acute breathing difficulty; use your prescribed rescue/reliever medicine for sudden symptoms.
How to use
Use MONTASENSE F INHALER exactly as directed by your doctor. Follow the instructions supplied with the inhaler and ensure you use the correct inhalation technique. Use it regularly at the prescribed dose and do not exceed the recommended dosage. After using the inhaler, rinse your mouth with water and spit it out to help reduce the risk of oral fungal infections and other mouth-related side effects associated with inhaled corticosteroids. Do not stop treatment suddenly without consulting your healthcare professional. If you experience sudden or worsening breathing difficulty, use your prescribed rescue inhaler and seek medical attention if required.
Storage
Store MONTASENSE F INHALER in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. Keep the inhaler in its original packaging and out of reach of children. Do not use the product after the expiry date or if the inhaler/device is damaged. Follow the storage conditions mentioned on the product packaging.
